On October 11th, the 4th IM Cross Strait Youth Film Festival announced its judges and guest lineup and officially opened.
This year’s film festival is chaired by Zhang Aijia as the chairman of the judging panel, and a heavyweight final judging team is composed of filmmakers Chen Lingzhen, Marco Mueller, Zhou Xinxia, and Wang Yu. With a professional perspective and rich experience, they support the growth of the new generation of filmmakers.
Several outstanding Chinese film actors will participate in sharing and communication, inspiring more young filmmakers to bravely pursue their dreams with light and shadow. Ren Dahua is appointed as the “IM Film Person of the Year”, Wu Kangren is appointed as the “IM Youth Film Recommendation”, Zhang Yuqi and Zhang Rongrong are appointed as the “IM Youth Image Figures of the Year”, and Zhou Meijun is appointed as the “IM Volunteer Ambassador”. Among them, Simon Yam has many representative works such as the movie “Thief of Time” and the TV series “Ice Breaking”, which have left a deep impression on the audience. Wu Kangren has been well received by audiences for his outstanding performances in films and TV series such as “Rich City Youth”, “In My Lifetime”, and “Our Distance from Evil”.
As the largest and highest standard youth video exchange event across the Taiwan Strait, the IM Cross Strait Youth Film Festival aims to support the creative power of young film and television professionals in universities worldwide. It is a professional video festival that integrates short film evaluation, forums, and screenings, and continues to focus on the creation of young filmmakers. This year’s film festival will include five major sections: competition, screening, cultivation, forum, and activities. The main competition section received a total of 2264 entries, and the related screening and selection activities will be held in Pingtan, Fujian from October 11th to 13th.
