According to the WeChat official account of the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration, recently, the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration issued the Code of Conduct for Market Supervision and Law Enforcement (hereinafter referred to as the “Code”) to guide all regions to standardize the comprehensive administrative law enforcement of market supervision and improve the level of strict, standardized, fair and civilized law enforcement.
The “Norms” unify the basic requirements for the style, discipline, appearance, language, and case investigation of market supervision and law enforcement personnel when carrying out law enforcement activities. Clarify the prohibitive provisions of “eight prohibitions” and “ten prohibitions” in law enforcement activities, strengthen rigid constraints, establish a civilized image, eliminate problems such as arbitrary law enforcement, selective law enforcement, profit seeking law enforcement, mechanical law enforcement, simple law enforcement, and passive law enforcement, and ensure fair law enforcement and strict discipline. The “Norms” differentiate law enforcement activities and provide practical guidance for grassroots law enforcement personnel on law enforcement language, case handling behavior norms, and other aspects for different law enforcement scenarios.
The “Norms” are a concrete embodiment of the service-oriented law enforcement concept of “supervision for the people”. By refining the specific norms of appearance, language, and case handling, key guidelines are formed, specific requirements are clarified, and the people feel the norms, civilization, fairness, and justice from every law enforcement and case.
