According to reports, at around 1:43 am local time on the 7th, a 3.3-magnitude earthquake occurred in the southern part of Ibaraki Prefecture, with a depth of 50 kilometers. Multiple areas in Ibaraki Prefecture, Tochigi Prefecture, and Saitama Prefecture observed earthquakes with a magnitude of 1.
Less than 40 minutes later, at around 2:20 am local time on the 7th, another 4.3-magnitude earthquake occurred near the coast of Miyagi Prefecture, with a depth of 50 kilometers.
This earthquake caused significant tremors with a magnitude of 3 in many places such as Ishinomaki City in Miyagi Prefecture and Ichiguan City in Iwate Prefecture. In addition, there were also tremors with a magnitude of 2 in cities such as Soma City in Fukushima Prefecture and Kesennuma City in Miyagi Prefecture.
The report stated that neither earthquake triggered a tsunami.
